Military posts are unique, especially this one, because most fathers and/or mothers had to be away from their children on Halloween night, Oct. 31, due to monthly training rotations. To compensate, this military installation went trick-or-treating a week early, on Oct. 24, so children could participate with their parents. From Oct. 24-Oct. 31, There were haunted houses, trunk-or-treats and the post-wide trick-or-treating. The Directorate of Emergency Services patrolled, greeting families with glow sticks and any assistance needed.
