FORT IRWIN, Calif. — A large crowd came out to the Mary Walker Center in support of the MEDDAC 5K Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and Run on Oct. 26. There were t-shirts available for participants and the MWR also sponsored the run. According to breastcacner.org, about one-in-eight U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. This year, an estimated 331,000 new cases of invasive and non-invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in America.
