On July 29, 2021, Regimental Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, executed a Change of Command for the outgoing commander, Capt. Sean T. Martin, and incoming commander Capt. Kevin J. Sanchez, at Fritz Field, Fort Irwin, Calif.
Sanchez previously served as the commander of the Palehorse, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment.
